BELIEF ARCHITECTURE ー coaching that draws what's still unspoken

Every belief was built.

So it can be rebuilt.

Take apart what's holding you back, and construct the infrastructure to move forward.

A circling thought still has an exit toward light.

Does this sound familiar? You've been stuck on the same thing for years — knowing better, but somehow unable to move. Or maybe you keep moving, and nothing changes.

If so, it isn't a question of willpower, or ability. It's a premise that formed in your head — the sense that things have to be a certain way.

With a coach trained in visualisation through architecture and urban planning, would you like to design a blueprint for the thinking that will move you toward who you truly want to be?

01
THE PROBLEM

Does any of this feel familiar?

I've worked hard. I've had some success, too. And yet, this vague unease won't leave me.

I'm always chasing something. But I couldn't tell you what.

I can't quite believe I'm allowed to be here. So unfair started to feel like the rules.

This may run deeper if you've built a life across a border. You learned the language, the systems, the rules — and still, some assumption from home keeps setting the terms without asking. Bit by bit, the evidence adds up: not enough.

02
YOUR GAME SETTINGS

The way the world looks is something built

If the world looks painful to you, that isn't your fault. Without realising it, you learned to see things this way — shaped by your past experiences.

  • 01 Traveller

“What are the people like in this town?”

“What were the people like in the town you came from?”

  • 02 A's answer

“The last town was full of mean, untrustworthy people.”

“Then you'll find the same here.”

  • 03 B's answer

“The last town was full of kind, warm people.”

“Then you'll find the same here.”

04 The same town

Both travellers walk into exactly the same town. And still, the world they see is different.

— from a folktale told in many forms around the world

Your lens —

when, and who, made it?

The brain has a powerful system for choosing what to pay attention to, out of the flood of information coming in. Once it decides “this is how the world is,” it starts collecting evidence for that, and stops noticing anything else.

That's why two people can walk the same street and see two different worlds. It's a bit like game settings — the rule you're following without realising it, the one that says “unless I do X, it won't work out.”

And these settings weren't something you were born with. They were built, through your experiences and your emotional reactions to them, over the course of your life. If it was built, it can be rebuilt.

BELIEF ARCHITECTURE

An architect takes something complex and wordless and turns it into a form you can work with.
The same can be done with belief. That's what Belief Architecture at MA.KOKORO is.

03
SOLUTION — SITE

Once you can see it, you can move it

In a session, I listen the way an architect reads a site — hearing what you feel, writing your thinking down, sorting out the conditions, and drawing the steps toward the person you want to become.

1: Surface
— bring the clues into view

We take stock of where you are now. From there, we look for the “game setting” behind it, and gather what's needed to put your priorities in order.

2: Imagine
— draw what's outside the setting

Imagining your ideal way of being — concretely, felt in the body — matters: your presence, your daily life, your relationships. Once that becomes a conviction, your daily actions start moving toward that vision.

3: Trial
— small, and enjoyable

Changing how you think or act, all at once, is hard. So we look for a way that fits you, without forcing it, enjoying it as you go — so you can stack up 1% changes, every day.

4: Establish
— make it part of daily life

To build a thought pattern that runs automatically toward who you want to be, we design a timetable and a set of rules for action — including how you'll know it's working.

04
A MAP OF YOUR LIFE

A diagram, one more each session

  • Example 1 — your present reality, laid out across eight areas of life

  • Example 2 — your old self and your new self, and the shift between them

What's said in a session tends to fade with time. Thoughts, feelings, conditions, purpose, conflict, hope — we keep them as diagrams, so you can come back to them.

As the diagrams add up, the resolution of your own mental map improves. You become able to walk from where you're standing toward where you want to go.

05
THE CHANGE TO AIM FOR

Little by little, you stop reacting, and start choosing

A belief built up over years doesn't disappear in a few months. A new way of being takes time to settle in, too.

Even so, once it's clear which way you want to face, your attention naturally starts turning that way, day by day. In coaching, the aim is for you to be able to step back and see your own thinking, and rebuild it yourself.

BEFORE

The world pushes you around

・That feeling of being chased won't leave

・Anxiety pushes you into acting, deciding

・Meeting expectation after expectation, and still, “not enough”

AFTER

You put the world in order

・Settled, living in this place, in this body, right now

・Doing more of what you truly want, little by little

・Meeting reality as it is, and enjoying the challenge

ABOUT ME

  • Hi, I'm Saki.

    From urban planning,
    to the structure of belief.

My original field is architecture and urban planning. I've always loved seeing what makes a place look like itself, even as a child. I've lived in Finland for 13 years.

An unease I picked up building the Liveability Index, in the smart-city industry, led me to Aalto University, where I researched the social resilience of cities in the age of smart cities. The title of my thesis is Beyond Measure. What I found was this: there are things that measuring itself can hurt — the authenticity, hard to put into words, hard to quantify, that makes a person, or a place, feel like themselves.

So how do people, and places, come to love and enjoy who they are? What I've come to understand is that it takes actively sensing the elements and structure that make that up.

That's why I now work on ordering thought and cultivating sensibility, rather than on space.
